Cornstock 2008 - Concert on the Hill - Entertainment

With a work ethic the size of Texas, Emerson Drive emerged from Canada onto the Nashville country music scene in 2001 with their brand of hip country combined with stellar musicianship and signed with DreamWorks Nashville.  Emerson Drive is one of the very few bands ever signed to a major record label who have the distinction of playing their own instruments on all of their records.  They humbly accept this honor because they are true instrumentalists.

Their first release, EMERSON DRIVE,  garnered numerous industry awards and nominations including:
ACM Top New Vocal Group/Duo in 2003
Billboard’s #1 Top Country Artist of the Year for 2002
R& R’s #1 New Artist MVP for 2002
Group of the Year for two consecutive years by the Canadian Country Music Association
Two Top 5 hits with "Fall Into Me" and "I should Be Sleeping"
Number one music videos on CMT’s Top Twenty Countdown with "Fall Into Me", "A Good Man", and "Moments".

In an interview for GAC, Julie Roberts is quoted say, I'm happiest on the road," she says. "That is my salvation and people get that when they come to my shows. I love playing; that is what I have always loved. I make out my set list before the show and I think about where I'm playing and who I am playing for. We change the set list every night, most of the time."

"It's what I dreamed about my whole life. When I step on the bus and into that back room, something comes over me. Every time Luke Lewis sees me, he says, 'Are you still having fun? You've got to like it, Julie; it's your life.' And I do. I'm having the time of my life.
